This monkey has had a hard life. He really is an old soul, a loner, and a drifter. He’s moved across the country all of his life writing folk songs and clearly developing a little bit of a drinking problem. The hat just completes his persona. I bet if he wasn’t a monkey and didn’t always have hair everywhere, he would still grow a beard, but not a huge one. Just some serious stubble.
